Downgrade Nokia N8



DOWNGRADING YOUR NOKIA N8 [ SCANDAVENIA OS ]


Upgraded your N8 by mistake and want to go back to your previous operating system, follow the tutorials below for step by step instructions to do so

Things you will need

  1. Nokia n8
  2. Working usb cable
  3. fully charged battery

Files needed to perform the downgrade
Nokia Pc suite, download from below link
Pheonix service software, download below
Scandavenia firmware needed for downgrade, download below

NOTE: Backup all your data using nokia pc suit before you start the downgrading procedure cause this will wipe all data in the phone

1. Install the nokia pc suite.
2. Install phoenix service software. Restart afer you install these files.
3. Then restart your computer
4. Copy the scandavenia firmware to the following directory
C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products use pictures below to navigate to the directory















4. Connect your N8 to your pc with usb set to pc suite mode.
5. Now open your phoenix service software
6. Connection tab, select your nokia phone



7. Now goto file menu and select Open product

 8.Select your product code, note if you did not copy the firmware files to the right directory, you will not see any files




















9. Now open the flashing menu





















10. Inside the firmware update, click on the botton at the end of the product code box


11. Now select your product and click on ok


12. Click on the refurbish button to start the downgrade process


The following will show if the process have started




12. once complete, this screen will be displayed



But if it shows the following screen




















Do not worry just disconnect your phone and switch on, then your nokia n8 have been successfully downgraded.
